Rv pet heat alarm

For those of us that have pets and we leave them in the trailer while we are out eating or what ever. Its a device that will call your cell phone if the power goes out in your trailer. You set the temperature to a certain point. You will have to have 2 cell phones to use this. The one cell phone is connected to this device and when the temperature rises above what you set it at,the one cell phone that sits in a craddle will call your other cell phone every 3 minutes until you return to your trailer. Its powered by your 12 volt system(battery)

A couple that I know in Calif has one that is brand new. They are going to ship it to me and let me test it out to see how it works.

I think its a greeat idea if its really hot out and your worried about power outages. With my dog in their I sure don`t want the power to go out and the AC stop running.

If you do a search its called the "RV Pet Heat Alarm"

From my understanding you have to program the one cell phone that sits in the craddle to speed dial your other phone.when the temperature goes above what ever you set it at a spring comes out and hits that one button to call your phone.

I get to try it before I buy it so i`ll let you know how it works.

There is supposed to be a new crate coming out as well, sorta along these lines. It can turn on the heat, or turn on the cool, and has a method to call you, if, say the temp gets too high. Sounds a lot like this device Harleyrider is gonna try out.

I am on a mail list for this thing, got one email, think they said they were still getting it ready for market. I just checked, I do not seem to have a URL for it.

I`am pretty excited about getting this thing. Its not cheap $400 bucks.but you really can`t put a price on our furkids.I think i`ll go with a cell phone that is "pay as go" type.I know T-Mobile has these/this way I`am not locked ito a contract or monthly fees.the sole purpose of the phone would be only for the Pet safety Heat alarm.I should be receiving it in a week or so.i will post on the out come.I`am pretty sure it plugs into a 12 volt outlet, that for me anyway in my unit I have one behind each TV(living room & bed room)

The guy that invented this thing is an older gentleman.his number for more information on the alarm is---1-636-239-1326.I had called the number a few times and got his voice mail with no return call, was going to give up getting one until this couple in calif.got in touch with me.but after I committed to the Calif couple I did get a e-mail from the inventer with his number and thanking me for inquiring about the heat alarm. It comes with a 3 year warrenty.
