That would be a problem, Steve. Hope there have been some improvements on that. I should be able to make it until the rally.

Mac..We are also members of the FCRV(family campers and Rv'ers) a international camping organization (USA/Canada) The international Rally(campvention) is in Denver in 2007..It was in Blyth, Ont last month. There are several MOC members that I am aware of who are also FCRV members.

I have the large 4-wheeler and only use it in dire times when we are parked at a county park where only electric and water are available, with a community dump site located away from the campsites. When we are parked there more than 14 days, I need to dump the black water. As for the grey water, I have nothing against using a community shower nor does my wife.

Rich, boondocking is what keeps our average yearly costs for parking down to $5.47/day for 2005. But we do use our generator if there is no sun to keep our solar panels charging. We never expected to have the same amenities in our rolling home as we did in our stick house. That was all done in the planning to go full time back in 2000. However, we have friends who stay in nothing but RV parks the year around. I don't know how they can afford it because I know that one of the couples has a lot less coming in pension-wise than we do.

Rich,

You should plan on seeing a little of the state while you're here, you'll have plenty time then, ya lucky dog. Let me know if you need any ideas.

I am only pulling your collective chains about boon docking..We have done plenty of that(in years past) and we will no doubt be out in the boonbocks in Quartzsite..Generator alongside the camper and all. The Montana is way to large to go to many of the sites over in the Allegheny national Forest where we boondocked in the past. We would not boondock on purpose but will for the "fun of it" (Quartzsite...)

Dave, if you don't need it before the rally there is a Camping World in Elkhart.

The biggest problem I had with the little blue wagon was knowing when it was "almost" full so I could close the dump valve. When it filled up the flow would stop but closing the valve still left the little hose full of black "stuff" that had to go somewhere and the tank was already full. This was quite a few years ago and many people use them successfully so maybe they've improved them.

So true, I sent that company a sugestion years ago about installing a clear plastic on the tank, like the oil cantainers have, to see how much oil you have, that way a person can see where the gray water level is at, allowing time to close the gate valve.

Shane01638, could you tell us about your custom floorplan? I didn't think Keystone would custom build a floorplan so did you make some modifications? If so, I would be interested in hearing what you've done, if you don't mind. Thanks.
