Broken harness under slide

I have a 3400RL. Under three of the slides are black plastic harnesses that hold the wires out of the way as the slides move in and out. The one under the left rear slide is broken and hanging down. It appears that the wires will need to be disconnected in order to replace it. Does anyone have experience with this?

I haven't had that problem, yet, but several MOCers have. There have been some interesting fixes for the problem that you should be able to find by searching, and I imagine you'll get several responses from people that have had the problem.
