Screw Kit
Just was wondering if anyone has ever contacted Keystone about getting a few replacement screws or a "screw kit" with a few of each used in the finished product? I just got back from checking at CW and they didn't have any screws there. Since my coach is brandnew I would like to have an identical match so everything looks good and matches. The most obvious ones are the two missing white screws around the moulding over the wheels. I'm sure I'll run across others as well.
I would gladly pay for them, even though it's an obvious oversight in manufacturing, but I was just wondering if anyone has ever spoken to Montana or Keystone about replacements.
Let me know.

Well, in a way, I kinda sorta spoke to one of the tour guides at the factory tour and was able to acquire a sufficient number of various screws, colors and sizes, for any future problems that may arise.
By the way, I had a Mountaineer, a Cambridge and a Montana tour with 3 different guides.

Glenn,
Then you had a chance to get three different kits and you could have hooked me up!
I guess I'll try contacting the factory and see what happens.

Your dealer or any RV service should have these.

Still can, I suggest you call Keystone customer service at (574) 535-2100. I am sure they will take care of you. If not, email me your home address and I will snail mail you some screws to fix your problem.

Glenn,
You da man! I'll give them a call first tomorrow to find out apparently their email server is down.
And Parrothead, my closest dealer is about 60 miles away, quite a distance to drive these days for one or two replacement screws, you just know they wouldn't give me "extras" or anything I didn't "need".

We don't have a dealer close either but we do have a couple of RV service people in our town. But I hadn't forgotten about living in small rural areas. I didn't think about that, sorry. As far as the color, you can paint them. On our other unit many of the screws that were suppose to be white had discolored and I used white out to repaint them. Worked great and didn't discolor again.
Happy trails.....................

Parrothead,
GREAT idea to paint them, I hadn't even thought of that, kinda slow sometimes.

You might also check with Lowe's or Home Depot. Often they have what you need and sometimes you find things you didn't even know you needed!

I replace just about every screw on the outside of the rig with stainless steel screws, including the ladder.I had quite a few that were starting to rust.
