We bought the stairs anyway.
After several failed attempts to stabilize our steps so they were easy on bad knees we broke down and sent a bunch of money to Texas and got these: http://s1221.photobucket.com/albums/...DQDick/Stairs/
Because of the multiple stops we won't bring them with us to Goshen but we will be using them here for the rest of the summer and then take them down to AZ with us for the winter. Since we stay in one place for a while it seemed like a good investment and now that we've used them for a while we definitely believe that, at least for us.

Looks like a nice set-up. Would make it a lot more comfortable getting in and out especially if your arms are full of groceries or whatever.

Cool beans for sure. That would be nice for anyone fulltiming at a certain location, like we did here at Palm Creek for a year before we bought our village home. Hope you enjoy it......

Wow, those are substantial! They make a nice front porch!
My steps were damaged by the previous owner (I think he tried tearing them off with the help of a high sidewalk curb). Even though I've had them "stabilized" by my maintenance guy, they still bounce a bit when I board the trailer.

The stairs look great.
I've been looking at some at http://www.hofmannccr.com/ but not ready to buy yet. I can't tell if yours are the same company?
Thanks.

Mine came from here: http://www.sunriservproducts.com/ They are relatively easy to assemble or take down, but they are really sturdy. The knobs you can see on the side of everything is how they are attached and the bolts go clear thru the connecting pieces into the nut welded on the other side. Steps are aluminum so they can be wide, but hold down on the weight and the decking is that new composite stuff they're using on boat docks these days so it will last longer than I will.

Nice looking and well worth the cost. Whats it look like as far as storage Dick? Can you give me an idea on the measurements of what it will be when taken down and stored away. My guess is in the storage bay underneath would be about the only place? Just a round about figure if you can.
Thanks
Dave

It can be completely taken down into a couple of the boxes it comes in. It comes in three, but if the packing was taken out it could be combined in two. One about 4' long by 1.5' wide and about 6" deep and the other about the same size but only about 1' wide. We don't plan to do that however. We have a Mega Cab pickup and I'm only going to make it small enough to fit in the back of the truck. I'll leave the steps as one piece and probably leave as many as two of the sides together. Mostly because we have the space and I'm lazy. We used to have the cats in a giant carrier there, but when we make the big moves we also take our car and so the cats will be going in the back of the car now and I'll be able to see the trailer better.

Thanks Dick. sounds like a great solution. I have to use the storage myself due to the fact that I have a 80 gal.fuel tank/tool box in the truck, so no room in there.
