Type of Tires for new TV

I am in the process of buying a new 4WD TV. I will be using the TV to tow my 5th wheel the majority of the time. We will be traveling through out all the states, including Canada and Alaska, but staying with the nice weather. I will be using the TV for basic transportation in NJ during November and December each year. I think I know the answer, but should I get "All Season" or "All Terrain" tires?

My preference would be the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor tires. A little pricey, but an excellent all around tread pattern. I have them on my TV and on the other half's Trail Blazer and we live in western NY's snow belt. You can check them out on the Goodyear web site. The ones on the TV are Load Range E and have approx 35K miles and still look almost new and the ones on the Blazer are Load Range C.
There are lots of good tires out there, these are just my preference.

I am buying a 2011 TV and I won't have a choice on the brand of tires. My only choices will be "all season" or "all Terrain".

Check the tire load rating on those tires and ANY LT tire that you purchase.

All season unless you plan on doing a lot of off roading.

This would depend on your type of camping. All season would be my choice, unless you plan on doing a lot of offroading. Gee where did I see that answer before????

Thanks, that is what I thought. Just wanted to be 100% sure before I ordered the new TV.

My tow vehicles in the past several years, those with 4x4, all came with all season tires from the factory. This one and the prior tow vehicle, a 2005 Ford, came with BF Goodrich Rugged Trail T/A. I got 70k out of the last set and could have gone another 7k to 10k more. This set looks as if it will do at least that well. There are lots of good tires out there but this is my experience with these tires. Good luck.

I like the all season tires as they give me just a little more traction in sloppy terrain when towing, like pulling out of our site. Plus we like to do (not towing) some of those backwoods 4x4 roads, those that don't require a Jeep, anyhow.

all season will get you better mileage because of less rolling resistance and mite last longer.
