David,
It is a little early for fishing in Montana isn't it? But I have no idea about seasons since it has been over 20 years since I wet a line. Good luck. Probably one of the nicest but also expensive parks in LV is the Oasis. It is on the south side of town. When you get in CA.... Specifically if you are in Bakersfield drop us a note. Maybe we can get together for a cup of coffee.
Just had my right knee replaced in September of '09. Still hobbling around but almost pain free!
Just re-read your post and see you are from Coeur D Alene so guess you know all about cold weather fishing!
Travel Safely,
Dennis

We stayed at the Hitchin' Post RV Resort in Vegas a couple of years ago and it was ok. If you don't like fighter jet noise, don't stay here. You are right in the take off path (Nellis AFB) of the fighter jets. (that is what I loved about it) Every after noon just before dusk they would take off right over you for some type of practice to the north. Quite a site.

We stayed at Hitchin Post, enjoyed the jets.
I think Oasis is a little closer to the Strip.

We stayed at Las Vegas RV Resort on Nellis Blvd, right next to Sam's Town Casino. At the time it was Passport America discounted.
I had my right knee replaced this past fall and the weekend after finishing physical therapy we were on the road for a week trip. I had to get out. I don't know how you lasted 20 years. The withdrawal pains must have been terrible.
