Getting Ready

Well today I started getting the RV ready for the trip south. I did the water filters, Lock tight on the ceiling fan screws, toilet seals, and made up the neutral ground bonding plug. Still have to check the batteries, tire pressure and wheel nut torque. I will heading south on I-5 on the 13th crossing the border at Blaine Washington at about 5:30 AM. Hopefully I will make Seven Feathers that night. I have reservations at Desert Pools in Desert Hot Springs on the 16th. Then on the 17th I pick up the DW at Palm Springs Airport and we are off to Salome for nights before the Montana Rally at Quartzite. So look for me on I-5.

We will be leaving on the 10th from our home in Central Alberta; weather for the month of Dec has been ultra cold in the -25 to -35 celcius so it has been difficult getting things ready. We will travel I-15 south all the way to Vegas with hopes of not hitting any snow storms. We have two sets of chains one cable and one V-Bar just in case; reminds me of the good old snowmobiling days of 4X4 ing with cahins to get to the remote spots. Hope to be at Quartzsite by the 14th or 15th.
