Stove not bolted down

Hi
Thanks for letting me join in. I am a new member and have spent countless hours reading and learning from all of the threads.
I just purchased a 2006 3500RL. There are of course some defects in workmanship, and I can live with that, since the dealer is willing to get all of it taken care of.
There is one additional problelm. The Magic Chef stove is not bolted down. Whenever I travel. (three times now) the stove will slide out of its cavity. I think the only thing that is holding it from falling to the floor is the gas connection copper tube. I removed the top kitchen drawer and looked under for supporting beams to bolt to. There were none. Is there anyone out there that had this problem and how was it repaired.
Thanks in advance for the help

Sorry about your problem, I am sure your dealer will take care of it for you. That is kind of scary, makes you wonder what else is not bolted down!!!

Our stove has 4 screws into the cupboards. They are under the top on each side of the stove. Maybe yours are missing.

Get back to the dealer for repair. That is not suppose to be that way.

Kathi is right. Back to the dealer as you shouldn't have to fix a 2006.

Another thing to add to our PDI...check to see if the Stove is bolted down...where will it end... read the PR on the Montana web page about ..old world craftsman... sounds more like out of this world craftsman..

Yes I would but there is nothing to screw into. No backing or wood. I removed the drawer next to it and could see light through the holes where the screws should go. There is my fustration. It is scheduled to go back to the dealer next Thursday.
Thanks all...

I was told my stove (also a magic chef)was a new model that didn't line up with the "old" coachwork. As mentioned earlier here, there was nothing to screw to until I glued a new 1X to the existing one. My 3295rk rolled off the line Oct 10th. Good luck!

palakiko and geezzr,
Diana and I have a 2006 3295rk and the Magic Chef oven is screwed firmly into the cabinets on both sides. Your dealer should be made aware of the problem. I see potential for a gas leak there with the oven moving around.
Good luck
