Ready to buy a new 5th wheel
I am looking at buying a new Montana 3120RL does anyone have any pros or cons about this model and a ball park price I should pay? I am looking at the 20th Anniversary with the new color inside called Bourbon they did away with coffee bean and it has the 2000 watt inverter with 265 watt solar panel on it.

I don't have that unit, or know it either. I can say that the "ballpark price" you should pay is vastly different from dealer to dealer and even state to state. So many factors go into pricing its almost insane, but true.
I suggest shopping around a radius that you would be willing to drive/buy from and get the best price from dealers in that area. Selling dealers AFTER THE SELL service is worth more to me than a small pittance of savings from the lowest priced dealer.

We have the 3160 which is very similar with the hitch swapped to the opposite side. We really like the size and layout.
Take your time buying. Ours came from out of state and we had had no trouble getting great warranty service from our local dealer. Others have reported problems getting warranty service at other than the selling dealer.
Search the thread on 3120/3121 seems like there is another thread on someone buying one and pricing they found.

We have a 2019 3121RL and love it. For us, we definitely picked the right unit. We ordered ours in March and it arrived first of June. It was built just before they switched over to the 20th Annuversary model. We paid $56k before taxes.

Hope you enjoy it! We've been in ours probably 80% of the time since we've had it.

We just bought a new 3130RE, 2018. Love it. This is our 4th RV and very happy with it. Cost approximately 63 grand . It is loaded with a lot of goodies.

I have 2018 3121rl. Check the gas line that goes to the slideout. Rubber hose bent at 90 deg+. I had dealership add a 90 deg fitting. This was a safety issue and I let keystone know about.
This 5th is right size for 2 adults and small dog
Enjoy

Darrlwt,
Where did you buy your new 5th wheel from? I ordered mine from Mike Thompson’s RV two years ago at the California RV show in Pomona. Just wondering. If you purchased it from them, you need to know some stuff. PM if interested.

Picked our 3121RL up about 3-weeks ago and love it. Biggest issue we've had is the entry step. The model of the Step Above on our unit doesn't have the locking mechanism on it which is designed to hold the step tightly against the door frame. Our step relies on the gas pistons to hold it tightly against the door frame, which we quickly found does not work as it should. First time we went to leave, the entry door wouldn't shut. Turns out the step was not being held tightly against the door frame, so when we tried to shut the door the step pushed the screen door out of alignment, bending the hinges. I'd insist that the step have the locking mechanism on it. The Morryde website has the installation instructions for the step where you can see what this locking mechanism looks like. The unit itself is ideal for the 2 of us and 2 German shepherds.

We traded our 34' SOB for the 3121RL. There are two items we wish were different. First the bathroom is on the small size but we are managing just fine. Wish the shower had more depth. Second the basement door on the street side opens up (hinge on the top) to just about 80 degrees. It's at the right height to knock you senseless if you don't bend over. Other than that we love everything else about the unit.
Maybe we are just lucky but we never had any issue with the steps staying in place. Just be sure to sweep them off before raising them to the storage position.

We are considering the 3120RL as well. Friend bought a 2018 and commented also about the 2nd basement door on the street side opening up. Wishing Montana would cut that door in half so it opens to the sides.
I recently found out there are two grey tanks? Forgot to ask my friend where the 2nd pull handle is. Strange because I only saw two handles in the heated utility bay.

I too purchased mine from Lakeshore and got 30% off sticker delivered to California. Great to work with! The problem is service, I knew when I purchased it from them that getting someone else to service it under warranty may be an issue. Fortunately, I'm very handy and could fix the things that came up.

Why did you get a 3121RL vs 3120RL I got the 3120RL because I do a lot of off grid camping but I also hear a lot of stories that the RV refrigerator does not work all the good?

Hidden in wheel well in front of driver side front wheel.

We bought the 2018 - 3120, in Canada paid close to $80K Canadian at the time about $60USD
We had the dealership swap out the entry steps for a 4 step folding set. If you open out the "Step Above", it is about 5 1/2 feet away from your rig. Not too handy in some locations. For us it was a deal breaker. Where we store the rig, we would not be able to get inside. Lots of little fixes necessary, but all part of getting to know your rig.
