On a Montana? If so, I'm really glad we got Sailuns on ours back in October!

The tires are not marabombs. Is this a new tire or just rebranding of the old ones?

Again, is this the "regular" Montana or the lighter High Country you are referring to?

Are these tires G rated. If they are I think you are OK if not get rid of them.

I think you are talking about the Goodyear Endurance tire Eagleback. Looking at the weight of your 331RLT I would not run them. Go with a G tire.
I had Maxxis tires on mine, but they were not up to the job as I developed a bulge on the side of one of them and replaced all of them with the Sailun's for peace of mind.

Where is MOC member Robbie Simons when we need him?, he was the king for years of X2 and on up through X200 etc. The Marabombs blew out and then at a high price came the G614 and it will also occasionally blow out. I hope the Sailuns do a better job for less money.

I think that most of us who bought the G-rated Sailuns for the heavier Montanas hope they live up to the hype. I've not yet seen a single complaint.

We have been talking about these Sailuns for a few years now, they have had plenty of time to show up with problems.

Agreed! I've only seen one blow out and that was due to an acquaintance hit one on the corner end of a cross-tie when jacking his trailer in the site. By the end of the weekend, by it's own pressure, you could tell the tire had a damaged sidewall but he wanted to try and make it home. He almost made it, but didn't damage his rig thankfully.
As most of us know, any tire can blow. Two weeks ago I had my left front tire on my rig go while enroute to the campground. It was a GY G614 with the date code of 4615 and blew a hole out of the side. The tread depth was a 12 on it, so not many miles at all. Thankfully, I had a state trooper behind me when it blew and he held the traffic out from around me so I could get it slowed and off the road. Could've been a road hazard, even though the trooper said he saw nothing, but no one knows if it was on the interstate that I'd just came off of. I'll take my chance with the G rated tires of Goodyear or Sailun only. Supposedly the new Hercules G rated tire is being put out by Cooper tires, but i's brand new and no track record, so I'll leave that one alone.

At the MOC rally last fall the Beast was a very highly praised tire during the Tredit seminar. For those of you that are unfamiliar with Tredit, they supply all Montana tires plus many other RV manufacturers.

Sure they are highly praised, they sell them. They also supplied the China brand tires that so many of us had blowouts, and damage to our fifth wheels, and they probably still are.

Lets not get all carried away here with the Goodyear Endurance, they need to prove themselves. Lets hope they have better track record then their big brother the overpriced G614, just saying.

My statement about the tire seminar endorsement of the Beast was meant as an informational item only and not an endorsement by me. Not another topic for dispute or argument.....I didn't think I was being carried away, only attempting to share information.

True. Not knocking them but it will take 3-5 years before we know how good they are. Then remember GY Marsthon was good when it 1st came out too. I'm sticking with Sailun.
