There are two grey water tanks, one for the kitchen sink and the other to the rear to handle the bathroom grey water which can be used to flush the hose. As far as using electric and gas to heat your water at the same time, there is a switch on the water heater that must be switched to use either one or the other and both can not be used at once.

I could be wrong but I think you can use BOTH electric and gas at same time. We use electric normally and only turn on gas for faster recovery when showering. Have seen multiple other posters indicating same.

I could me wrong also. Lol
But with one of my first RVs I couldn’t get the electric side working on my water
I checked and read and found out there was an on/off switch that controls the electric side of the water heater. You may think your running the gas but it’s still running on electric. One of us is wrong or mistaken lol let me know. Thanks

The 12V/propane side and the 120V heater functions are independent and you *CAN* run both at one time. Many of us do it for faster recovery after multiple showers concurrent with washing dishes or even laundry/

Does everyone's bedroom door have a huge gap at the bottom?

Yep. Big gap on mine. Looks very intentional to me. Like done for some type of venting or air transfer.

They wouldn't think a full length door with a vent or grate would be less odd-looking???

Are there TWO sewer outlets on the 380/381? If so... how the heck does THAT work?

Normally you only have two sewer drains if you have two black tanks. You may have two gray tanks one for the bathroom & one for the galley but generally they go to the one dump concoction.

I THINK (and I'll know better in a couple of weeks on delivery) but I think the 380/381 may have 2 gray tanks. It would be ideal if both grays and the black all came out of the aft sewer pipe. Otherwise I have to fashion some sort of 2-to-1 contraption.

They come with 2 grays. Rear gray is T into black front gray (kitchen) is on a separate dump line. It a bit of a pain since the triple axles separate them.

FYI, some additional discussion about the 2 sewer drains here:

http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/....php?p=1091964

I'm going to continue the discussion in this 380/381 thread though, just to consolidate our somewhat unique subject matter.

Is anyone able to measure approximately how far apart the 2 drains are? I'm ordering sewer hoses and the wye fitting and am wondering if one 5 foot sewer tube is good enough on each side of the wye.

How long is the 7-way power cable on the 380/381? Long enough to reach to the bumper outlet without an extension cord?

It’s plenty long enough on mine. But I strongly advise against it

Hi all. Great thread.

A question for Mtlakejim why not plug into the bumper plug? Just curious. I have the bed connector but normally use the bumper.

Also, you had talked about a floor plan with the living area all above, and storage below. Heartland Torque had that exact floor plan. The kitchen was in the front, with a living room, then entry way, with 2 or 3 inside steps and the door at normal height. Bathroom was behind that and then the bedroom, which was actually suspended over the garage and would move the entire room up and down for loading. I think it only lasted for one year. Can’t remember the model number. It was several years ago, probably ‘12 or ‘13. We looked at it in Tulsa.

And for the discussion about water heater, you can run both electric and gas at the same time. Faster recovery.

Actually on the 2018 anyway, both gray’s run thru the single gray outlet, and the back outlet is only for the black. I found that out the hard way this weekend. I was cussing keystone for not hooking up the second gray handle, but finally traced it and figured it out.
