I use one of these:

I don't mind advertising for Weber and the price is right.

Same here. Mine is an Extang. After unhooking, I roll the cover out, the hitch is hidden and out of the weather. Also, it rolls up against the rear window of the truck so you don't lose and space in the bed.

This one just covers the hitch head. Well made and easy to install and remove. Stays on even in the wind in a open truck bed.

Go search on tonneau covers. There are a couple manufacturers that make folding, soft rollup and retractable covers that work with fuel tanks and tool boxes.

I have neither and use a BACK Flip G2 and love it! I had Lund tri-fold until the rear hold down clamp broke. Both worhed well over the 5er hitch.

I have one of those in my garage. Think I'll put it in the 5er and give it to someone at a CG that wants it...

I have the Pro Z ProTrack Retractable Tonneau cover and absolutely love it. It locks easy, has no pull ropes to get tangled in the hitch, and is really water tight. It’s nice to finally be able to secure items in bed. And to retract it all the way when hauling something big. Plenty of room/clearance with the hitch.

I had roll and lock brand of the same thing on my last F150. Absolutely loved it! Will be getting one on our next F150 for sure! Far superior to the fold up or hard covers!

Didn't get one for the 1 ton as I plan to put a welder in the bed in front of the hitch.
