Andersen Hitch Block

Has anyone used these? Our trailer moves when people walk around. Was wondering if these would help?

The only way to completely get rid of movement is to put the trailer on jacks and/or blocks - a lot of them. Short of that, there's at least two triangulating setups that will cut it down a whole lot. Either of them will help. I've seen two instances of folks that also used a king pin stand as well, and claimed adding it was worth it for them. Even with six-point hydraulic leveling, there will be a small amount of frame flex and suspension travel. Having your coffee slosh out of a cup on a table when walking by in the AM is not good though.

Hmm our High Country is super stable. Maybe because it’s new?

Wow, near $50 each! I carry a couple of pieces of railroad ties about 12" long that I sometimes needed on my old trailer. We would often have to back all the way to the rear of a site and would need them so the rear stabilizers would reach. When we bought our first 5 th wheel in the 80's we brought it home and used the large blocks that the previous owner used under the landing gear. Latter that day we got some serious wind that lifted the trailer up off the blocks and set it back down off the blocks about 6" away. Haven't used blocks on the landing gear since! I'm sure the pin weight of that trailer was substantially less, but.....

These caught out attention at an RV show in January. The price and where to store 4-6 of them caused us to pass on them. Some feel their 6 point Level Up's stability is the "bee's knees", but every Level Up equipped trailer I've been in at RV shows has some wiggle when you get 3-4 people milling around inside so I know what some talk of about stability. You could make similar for way cheaper ... buy a treated 4X4 and cut lengths about 10" long ... cut two pieces of siding to fit the dimensions of two 4X4's side by side and deck screw them together. We and others have used this setup laying flat under stabilizer jacks to limit the extension for years with good success.

Have them love them. Montana 305rl they stopped the error code when the rear jacks extended too far. They also stopped what wiggles we had if the front jacks were extended way out. Pricey but gotta better deal at a camping show.

No problem with the 6 point auto level keeping things stable. I try to put 3" under the landing gear and keep the rear 4 from more than 8" of travel using the yellow blocks.
Today a washer was installed on the passenger side and dryer on the driver side. We will see what the spin cycle does!

If your talking about Anderson leveling blocks, I had a set on last trrailer and they worked great. Love them and they worked most of the time.

Why not use 4X8?

I'm completely unqualified to offer an opinion on this since I'm taking my Montana on its first camping trip next month...

But with that said, I'm using BAL 28012 X-Chock wheel chock/stabilizers. I can say that with these on my RV in storage, I've noticed considerably less movement when I'm working inside the RV.

I'm also planning to get the SteadyFast RV Stabilizer System that was reviewed by RV YouTube vlogger Jared Gillis on his YouTube channel "All About RVs"
https://youtu.be/7DVfbO9o-eM

Again, I'm inexperienced with this, so just saying what I have and am planning to do.

EDIT: Jared's install and review video of the SteadyFast:

Mark A ... I guess I never thought that far ahead. 4X4's are cheap and plentiful and won't dry and split as predictably as 4X8's. And then there's more eye appeal and I get to use more power tools.
