I ordered the KR with several other options. I passed on the active cruise and steering, but got most of the rest.

Well after way to much indecision I ordered the Platinum F-350 DRW today. I really liked last years King Ranch colors and would of got it if I could get last years colors. I don't think I could of went wrong with either model. My Platinum is pretty well optioned out. I went with the diesel and White Platinum paint. Snow plow prep for the heavier duty front springs. In 2018 you could not get the camper option which I wanted. FX 4 pkg. along with Platinum Ultimate pkg. spray in bedliner individual trailer TPMS/trailer camera prep kit. I also got the 5th wheel/ gooseneck hitch prep pkg., block heater, PTO, 4.10 limited slip axle ratio. Rapid heat supplemental cab heater and vehicle safe. With the pkg's I also got the adaptive cruise control, lane keeper alert and ultimate trailer camer tow pkg. There is some other options I also got but you get the idea. This will probably be my last tow truck and I was told by the wife to get what I wanted because she didn't want to hear me complain about any thing. (OR ELSE).
Thanks for all the advice and experiences shared from everyone.

I think that I can convert my fifth wheel hitch to the puck system, I will find out soon. I really feel that I will have a very safe TV even if I go to a bigger/heavier Fifthwheel.

At today's prices for TV's I am still in shock, but like I said it is probably the last one.

Thanks again.

Tom Marty

Smart move. You won’t regret having more truck than you need! And your ready to go if you decide to go to a heavier camper!

Well I jut picked up our Ford F-350 Lariat CCLB PSD DRW. After weighing our rig I traded in our SRW. James will be thrilled lol

Have the Lariet Ultimate pkg. spray in bedliner individual trailer TPMS/trailer camera prep kit. I also got the 5th wheel/ gooseneck hitch prep pkg.

Now I have to finish outfitting it. And learn to remember I got big hips now.

Thrilled as you say....

I do have about $3,500 in reminders already on the wide hips! I have had it down in the woods with tractors....not exactly what most 5th wheel owners would use their tow vehicle for.

PSD means?

Trailer camera prep? Does that mean that your factory screen will show the campers rearview camera?? That alone would almost be worth the upgraded trim package for me. Add the TMPS on the trailer which I hear Ford has on board and they are starting to look better than the Ram......

I have a 2011 F-250 Lariat and am looking for a 15 or 16 SRW F-350 Lariat. Platinum has a lot of chrome and it gets dull and rusts underneath. Cannot see paying for the extra options that I don't use. Like anyone ever figure what the 4 switches under the heater controls are for?? Look like space holders to me!

Jeff the picture will have to wait as I ordered my truck instead of getting one off the lot.. This truck order was a lot harder to do compared to ordering my 2000 F350. Yes my wages have increased but I think just the physical number/amount that trucks cost now messes with my mind. Oh yeah my dealer already told me to drop the rear seat belt air bags as they are stalling the trucks build dates if they have been ordered.

Jeff it also sounds like you have a nice new rig with the bigger hips congratulations on your new TV. Just think in two years the Ford should have the ten speed tranny which should be a seriously good improvement. I really don't know where the technology and towing ability will end up. Today's trucks already could require certain types of CDL's.

I don’t think Ford will be putting the 10 speed in a Diesel. It was developed with GM and is only rated for 800 foot pounds, I think. The 6 speed is rated for 1600 foot pounds. Of course they could modify it.

James the TPMS and Trailer review camera are displayed on the factory installed screens. 2 fewer screens on the dash this way.

With this color scheme, this is the first truck the DW says is sharp.
Well the other trucks did have bowties on the front

Hmmm. I’m a couple years out from trading in but if RAM doesn’t follow suit I may have to look harder at the Fords

Lynwood I could be wrong but all my research shows a 10 speed tranny for the SuperDuty in 2020. You are defiantly correct on the 1/2 ton ten speed tranny. Ford was the lead on it and got to use it a year earlier than GM. GM was the lead on another 8 or 9 speed tranny and they get to use it a year before Ford. He current ten speed also can be beefed up as seen in the Camaro. I have read that they are retooling a transmission assembly plant to handle the SuperDuty power stroke. If you google it you should find it. Looking at the tranny specs it shows around 1000 lbs of torque. As commented on that site, the HP and Torque wars may be slowing down and just increase in five to ten HP or Torque increments. Still the thought of a ten speed behind a 6.7 should make one hell of a TV. Time will tell just what all the manufactures are up to.

It seems that I at least now have a VIN number and "Sub to Plant" whatever that is. I will get a copy of the vehicle order confirmation sent to my email address. Sounds like progress.
