I-20 Shreveport/Bossier City

We towed our utility trailer from TX to Ruston, LA to help move our grandson back to TX last week. The stretch of I-20 from the east side of Bossier City (at the I-220 bypass) to the west side of Shreveport (at the other end of I-220) is absolutely the worst stretch of interstate highway I could imagine. And has been for a long time. And I am not prone to exaggeration. Anyone traveling that way, east or west bound, I would recommend using the bypass. I have not tried the bypass, yet, but will next time. It is newer and almost certainly could not be as bad as I-20. And only slightly longer in distance.

You are not exaggerating Bill. That stretch of road will knock your teeth out and make you have to pee. The bypass is longer but much smoother.

Agree! That's one bad stretch of road.

I drove that stretch many times in the early days of my oilfield career. Always checked the binders on my load before and after. It has to be one of the worst sections of interstate in the country and has been for almost 40 years!! Then again the roads around Memphis are just as bad!! Our tax dollars hard at work LOL.......
