Hi, Mac, I could write a PM but why not share with everyone!!
We have a 2002 Duramax/Allison and it has been a dream come true. We drove over to Aspen over Independence Pass yesterday (solo of course) and the tow/haul mode meant that I hardly used any brakes at all.
Congratulations on your new pickup!
We will be moving up to Estes Park (Spruce Lake RV Park) on Friday and be there for 4 or 5 days.

Somebody point me to this new blue color. I haven't seen it yet.
While I like my Ford a lot, I'm not wedded to any brand. I can appreciate a good truck, no matter what the brand. When the time comes to trade, I'll consider all brands, eliminate those I don't like after driving them, then take the one with the best deal.
See another Montana or Mountaineer on the road? Flash lights twice, it might be one of us!

David, I ditto the 2002 D/A. I have nothing to compare with, but I am very happy with the performance of this vehicle - as both a tv and a daily driver.

I can't wait to try towing with this unit WHEN it arrives, it might entail winter camping but I don't care! I'll be out there towing it up and down the "hills" in CO. David, wish I could meet you and Shirley up in Estes this weekend but I have some family business keeping me around home.

mac,
Sounds to me like you have a new reason to head up to the Pacific Northwest next year and give that new truck some serious road time. =)

Steve...the blue granite metallic was new for the 2006 models, so there are not many of them, which is one reason I wanted one. My photo below is bit hard to see since it's inside, but it looks like a mix of blue and silver. Also, it matches part of the Montana color scheme.

Steve,
Here's the Silverado site, I can't link the color directly but if you just select the Blue Granite, it will "paint" it that color on your screen. I think you'll see what Bert and I said that the color will look great with the Monty logos.
