Brake shoes??

Can anyone tell me the correct size brake shoes for a 2001 Montana 3280??? Or tell me where to go on the net for more info?? Or should I call Montana?????

I've got the same trailer, and just put the left side drums back on, the brakes were fine, bearings were too, after about 20,ooo miles. If I get to it tomorrow I will have the right side off and could check the size for you but I would guess that you would check with Alko Axle for info.

Look on the back side of the backing plate. There should be a stamp from the manuf that tells the size. On my Dexter backing plates is stamped, 12X2 for 12 inch hubs by 2 inch wide brake pads.

I've since found out - Alco axle and 12X2 shoes. (I looked at the box that the replacements were in)

I was reading on a forum somewhere that it is cheaper to replace the whole break assembly than to purchase shoes and magnets. Here is a link that was recommended. When I need to change mine I think I'll give them a call. Look at the 12" X 2" and see if it meets your needs.
