Thanks, I'll check it out.

I'll bet Mudchief could be the wagonmaster if Curtis did all the phone calls for him setting up the seminars.

Quartzsite, AZ is located at the intersection of I-10 and Hwy-95 in AZ about 17 miles east from the CA border and 90 miles north of Yuma, AZ. "Address" of the camping area is non-existent (although we have invented some to satisfy the satellite companies when asking for local channels). The actual location has been pretty consistent over the years but could change. It is first come, first served camping so should another group beat us to the normal site, we would have to adjust. The actual location is normally posted here once the early bird's have arrived. Here are the general directions to where we usually are. Take a look using Google Earth to check it out.

Plomosa Road is about 6 miles NORTH of the intersection of Main Street and AZ-95 in downtown Quartzsite.

From Quartzsite drive NORTH on AZ-95 past mile marker 114, turn RIGHT (EAST) onto Plomosa Road.

Drive 2.8 miles, turn LEFT at Montana Sign onto BLM land.

Turn LEFT again in about 75 yards (there will be a 2nd sign).....look for lots of Montana's and flags....about 1/4 mile WEST.

There will be a camp site as you make the turn onto Plomosa Rd where you sign in and get the tag to camp

It's been a good model for us as fulltimer's. We've had several issues with it, but nothing too major. Have almost 51K miles on the trailer in five years, and last year we only did about 3,500 miles due to Becky's knee issues.

My wife has 2 knee replacements so i changed the inside steps from 3 to 4 steps and it made it much easier going up and down inside the trailer.

Hum! if this was the same person that came this past Jan. When we were there he verbally said his controller if installed in my Freezer would keep ice cream frozen he guaranteed it verbally. But alas my ice cream is not frozen, No longer milkshake consistency more of a soft serve but not frozen. When I contacted him via email to tell him his controller didn't work all that well, in fact I have more ice build up in my freezer now than I did before. He was quite rude in his response via email and said he never guaranteed my ice cream would stay frozen. If I had it to do over again I would not waste my money!! Just Saying.. be careful before you Buy!!!!!If he guarantees something get it in writing before you buy!! (Leanne not Cal)

We would like to attend our first MOC at Quartzsite.
When is the best time to come out?
We can't stay the entire time but can come for 5 days.
If we get there early will we be able to get out before the event ends?
Thanks and looking forward to putting faces to names.

Tuesday Jan. 16, 2018 will be day of arrival and the Meet & Greet. That is usually best day to come. Most events happen the first week and the RV show starts Saturday in Q.

Tuesday Jan 16th eh?? It sounds to me like mmgeol has stepped up to be the WagonKing if he (she?) is saying when it starts.... That is just fine with me. Glad that someone has taken the torch for 2018!

I might just have to try and find the time to bring my big ol bus there and join the group if a SOB is still welcome.

I have heard about Quartzite but didn't know it was primitive camping. Is there more than one campground in that area and any with power? We don't boondock with the 5th wheel.

Yes there are several RV parks in and around Quartzsite. Check http://www.campgroundreviews.com/
You may have to book a place that is outside of Quartzsite as the ones in town fill up quickly. We stay about 15 miles east of Q out on Hwy 60 and just drive into town when we need to. We have full hookups.
