Question Replace carpet with laminate flooring

I have a 1999 285 rear kitchen 5th wheel. I would like to replace the carpet with a different flooring material. Does anyone know if the slide (living room, kitchen area) has rollers under it. Or does it slide on the carpet? The slide is hydraulic and appears to ride on two square steel tubes under the floor. Right now it pushes a small ripple in the carpet when it comes in. Is there a way to raise the slide ?
Has anyone done this to this year and model?

We put a Laminate floor in my 2012 3455A. When the slide comes in it seems to rise and then come down on the floor. Fortunately it doesn't drag on the floor. The floor is LOWER than the carpet . My installer said there is no need to raise slide. Also, my RV repair man said you CANNOT raise the slide.

Rep,a e flooring

My montana is a1999. I have contacted Keystone and they said that because of the age they didn't have any information. It looks like you are right that the slide can't be raised. Maybe when the carpet is removed there will be enough space that the slid will clear the laminate.
Thanks for the reply

I have a 2015 Montana 3611RL and am thinking about replacing carpet in dining table/theater chairs slide-out. Would like to put down vinyl or some kind of flooring that would match (or closely match) the existing flooring (fake wood plank laminate) in Kitchen/living area. Not sure how to install at the inner edge of slide. There is a raised area from floor up to the edge of slide which the carpet now lays over that area and hides it and kinda smooths out that raised lip. The raised lip is the plastic(?) piece for the slide to ride on going in & out and cannot be altered, or should not be altered or damaged. How would I smooth that area when installing the vinyl/laminate so as not to trip over it every day? Looked at youtube videos but didn't see exactly what I have. Anyone done this? Did a search here and this was as close as I could find. I also have the hydraulic slides as mentioned above. Thanks for any help, tips or point me in the right direction.

We are going to replace ALL the carpet in ours (slides and rooms) with plank vinyl. The planking can be purchased in a heavier industrial grade. It goes down easy in small/tight areas and looks very close to the real wood flooring if you get a better grade.

It's from the roll at Menards, I think HD probably carries the same or very similar. We cut it to hang over the transition like the carpet did. It just flaps over to the floor and seems to seal if off quite well. I've lifted it to sweep and there's no sand underneath. It's flexible enough, and held up very well all summer/fall.
