Question for fellow Superglide owners
It doesn't seem like there is any way to lock the release handle to prevent someone from pulling it and potentially releasing the jaws around the king pin.
On many hitches they talk about locking the release handle but unless I'm missing something, that doesn't seem to be an option.
(Looking for my Superglide owners manual... )

I put a padlock thru the hole above the handle. When the lock is installed, I cannot raise the handle enough to disengage the king pin locking device.

I use this type of lock http://www.westmarine.com/1/1/21784-...h-package.html
It's the one with the rectangle slide on lock. Just slide the shaft through the space above the handle and slide lock onto pin. works great.

Thanks guys, I did locate my Superglide Owner's manual and it does mention about putting a padlock through the oblong hole above the handle. Somehow missed this bit of info when I first read through it.
As you know, this prevents the handle from being moved up enough to pull out and release!
Appreciate the help though... MOC comes through again!

I do the padlock thing, too. I was just too uncomfortable thinking someone might get their jollies from pulling that handle to see what happens while we're inside a store or restaurant. If we're on a hill, the rig probably disengages. If not, then it happens when we start to drive away. The padlock is cheap insurance.

I agree with ya Steve, my thoughts exactly!
Got the padlock in, painted the jaws flourescent orange (visual aid) and did a little touch up here and there on the Superglide with some gloss black Rustoleum!
With the Superrails and hitch all locked up, I think I have something like 8 padlocks or locking hitch pins!
If someone steals this thing, they gotta REALLY want it bad!!
