spray in liners and hitch mounting

I just had my first experience with the search engine. No luck there so I'll throw my question out here for you valued input. Should I have my spray in liner done before mounting the hitch, or afterwards? I can see problems either way so I need guidance. Thanks in advance.

I've had three of them and always did it prior with NO problem. The first one I had already had the hitch installed and they removed it to spray in the lining and then re-installed.

I also have had all 3 of my liners sprayed in before the hitch was installed. Have not had any trouble....

My hitch was mounted first, pulled out including the rails, sprayed in the LINE-X liner and after a couple of days reinstalled the rails and hitch. I did have to ream out the holes so the bolts would pass through.
Good luck

My liner was sprayed on first also. It appears to me, the liner will add a little cushion under the rails.
Happy Trailering,

By all means, spray on the liner first, then install the hitch.

I had the hitch installed first and removed the hitch and left the rails in, You don't notice the rail in the bed. Have haven't had any problems with it.

My RV guy had me bring my truck in to have the holes for the hitch drilled before I had liner sprayed in. After having the liner done I took it back and they installed the hitch and the electrical hook-up in the bed. He said this way it gives you protection under the rails and around the holes. Seemed to work fine and looks good.

LineX installer recommended to me to spray first and then install the hitch. Worked great.

My Rhino dealer would not do the job with the rails in so I removed them, had it sprayed, and re-installed. I had no problems putting the rails back in. When I get a new truck I will have it sprayed before installing a hitch.

Same here...had to take the hitch out, spray, then reinstall.

My LineX guy recommended that I have the holes drilled for the hitch, bring the truck in to be sprayed, then take it back to have the hitch installed. The RV place was nice about it, and now I feel better knowing the holes are coated, and the entire bed is sprayed. I tend to have OCD about things like that...LOL
