Pot Luck question!

How do you figure how much to make when you're bringing a dish to a pot luck for a big crowd like the rally? I'm hoping people don't bring 120 or more portions of a dish. Or, do they? Inquiring minds...

Generally bring what you would make for yourselves and maybe a little more.

Thanks, that's my usual rule of thumb for pot lucks but have never been to one this size!

The only difference with a group that size is you hope your table is called to go early. Tables called late get fewer choices With the MOC group though that's not an issue, because it's all good

I think my wife usually prepares enough for 37 people. Just kidding....about 4-6 people really.

I always do a nice size serving, say for 6 to 12, depending on what I am making/bringing.

If a desert, for example, one regular sized cake or one batch of cookies, etc. If I bring a casserole, I bring what one batch makes up.

NOT enough for 120 tho! YIKES!

We would suggest that you bring a "family size" dish for any of the potluck meals. You will have the same for all the food events-- the Meet and Greet, Potluck breakfast, potluck dinner and possibly the Wine and Cheese event. Appetizers for the Meet and Greet and the Wine and Cheese events is best. Some will bring items(cookies, brownies and etc) for the Ice Cream Social the last night also. See you there!

Carol-- You don't want to cook for a 120-160+ people out of your Monte?
