Cleanup --Fixup --Then sell--This old house!

Working on our house prior to putting it on the market.

Noticed that some vinyl clad (Anderson) exterior window frames have cracked at the joints and may be letting water to the wood frame under the vinyl cladding.

Is there any epoxy or other product out there that can be used like caulk or putty and that will stick to vinyl?

The place is 16 years old. I don't expect any window warranty to be in effect at this time. I thought that cadding was going to last forever. Hmmmm

THANKS GUYS FOR THE INFORMATION!!

Anderson Windows now fixed per warranty. What a warranty. After 16 of 20 years the replaced units (Sunny sides of the house) now have new casements and glass with well repaired vinyl cracks on the frames and again have a 20 more year waranty.

Guess what kind of windows we will spec for our next house. When this one is sold. (Slow going in that category.)

AWESOME! Anderson Windows is based in Stillwater, MN just 10 minutes from our house, hey I wish I worked there. LOL They have an awesome product, stand behind it and treat their employees wonderfully.

I'm happy for you Random Line, we too have Anderson Windows in our house. And a retired VP lives 2 houses over.

We used to have a wooden wreath that was inscribed "Home is where the heart is". Fredrica would put it up in what ever home or apartment we moved into as employment transfers caused our young family to relocate and resettle.
I guess it was just a little reminder for all of us to remember what was important in life. Well we've been living in one place so long that I don't think we have that little wooden wreath and reminder anymore but if we did it would soon be hanging in our Montana.

Yes we sold our home today. So I guess we will be full timers for a while beginning Sept 15th. Praise the Lord. We get to go through that house building process one more time.

Exciting times but we still plan to be at the Rally in Sept.

Jim & Fredrica, Congrats. We share in your joy of selling as we have our house under contract also. Our movers are coming in two weeks and we close on the 27th of Aug. What a great relief it is to see a light at the end of what has been a long tunnel for us. Enjoy your time in the Montana! We will have to share a bottle of champagne to celebrate together at the rally!! LOL

Congratulations on the sale of your house. Another new adventure to embark upon. So you are going to build another one.. or fulltime in the Montana? Either way is exciting...... happy trails.

Dennis,

A short while back we purchased an acre and a half shoreline lot on Richmond Lake which is just a few miles NW of Aberdeen, SD. Sewer, water, natural gas, power, telephone etc are all installed now or soon will be. (Full service site, right?) The first (of 14) houses to be built in that little development is just underway. We may be the second or later builder depending on how fast we can get our plans completed etc. Or we may just go south for the winter sooner if that seems easier at the time. It would be nice to get the basement in and a floor over it for an early spring start. Either way we will be be located here at Pierre for the next 30 days.

We still will have a lot for you to park on in Fort Pierre at the end of the month. Keep us posted.

Drive safe. Happy camping.

Tom and Joyce,

Deal! Glad to hear that you have sold also. That will be fine tasting wine. See you at the Rally.

Doug and Marg,

We do plan to build again. We will have a lake shore place pretty close to some of our grandkids. The way things go we need to do that quickly or they will no longer be kids.

Thanks for the good wishes. We will never be more than partime Montana RV residents (Snow Birds) but virtual full timers through this forum if thats conceivable.
