Curtain Valance
Curtain valance in the slide that screws into the overhead cabinet is coming loose. Thought I saw a repair on here a while back but I can't find it now. Is a thicker screw needed or is there more to it than that.
Thanks
Ray

Larger screw should do it!

My valance completely came loose and ended up on the floor. I went with bigger screws and added 3 more to secure it. They don't put enough screws in and there isn't enough material to hold the screws. Another bad design by Keystone.

Ken and Jeff, thank you. I'll give that a shot.

If you don't want to go with a larger screw, try the liquid nails in the hole and insert a wooden match stick in the hole before you put the screw back in.

DQDick, I couldn't use matchsticks for those types of repairs. I work so fast, the friction would light those puppies up. You might try toothpicks.
Would using liquid nails mean that the screw could never be extracted? I might want to keep that option available since many of my curtain valances sometimes need removal to fix the day/night shades. I just had two more of those go kaput, but I'm being lazy about fixing them just yet, and I will need to remove the valances to do so.

Agree with Art. Don't want to make anything permanent in our rigs. We use toothpicks and superglue, because it's quicker.

The screws are put in at the factory randomly just reposition 1/4 inch left or right
In order to remove curtins for cleaning valance has to come off so as mentioned no liquid Nail!

Thanks for all the input. We are currently in Hemet CA at Golden Palms RV Resort. Next week when we get home I'll try moving the screw over a tad and see what happens.
Again thanks
