Winegard Trav'ler moving in wind
Our Winegard Trav'ler Satellite Antenna seems to have developed some slack in the turret base. You can move it approx. 1/4" in either direction and now even a slight breeze will move it enough that it looses satellite signal. Unit used to be rock solid even in strong winds.
Have called Winegard 3 times so far and left messages but no one there seems to like to return phone messages.
Anyone experience this problem before and if so what was the fix & cost?

Somewhere around 30mph our Trav'ler starts to lose the signal. Winegard's position = thats about as good as it gets.
So it sounds like something is loose or worn inside your case.
I have found Winegard pretty good to deal with by telephone. Happy to send parts when they think it will help. Keep trying and good luck.

I have also never had to wait more than a couple of days for Winegard to get back to me. Keep after them.

We have been in some pretty high winds without losing signal. But, to be safe I usually stow it if it's really gusty just to reduce the stress on the mechanism. Like the others, I have always had good luck getting through to Winnegards tech support.

No issues with ours so far including use in the wind as it always seems to be windy around here.

Still waiting on a call back from Winegard. Guess they are just to busy to return any messages.
Anyone know if they do repairs at their facility and if so, how would I make an appointment?

Very interested in this dish setup. We had a smaller dish system on our last 5'ver and liked it, but since the dish in it is smaller it was easily blocked. I've heard that the Winegard Trav'ler can handle trees better. Understand that no system will get reception if you are in the middle of the forest.
Question. Did you guys do the install yourself or have it installed? If you installed, what was the method of running your cables?
Appreciate any help you can give. Still trying to decide if I want to fork over the money for this system.

While at the National Rally, I had one installed and setup by Elkhart Satellite - no regrets, they did a great job.

Call them again and get the sales line. Maybe it will help. Or go to their web site and leave a message. My experience with them is not so good getting back to you about technical issues. too bad, otherwise a good company.
