Confession is good for the soul so here goes!
I needed to use the 5er's refrigerator for the abundance of food that Milly prepared for the families Christmas visits. I went out to the rig and turned the refrigerator on in the "AUTO" mode and the light came on indicating all was well. Went back out to put some food in it and found that the "CHECK" light was lit. Bummer!
Well, I turned the frig off and on a few times and noticed that each time I turned it on, I heard a "click" like it was trying to lite the propane. Couldn't figure out why as it should be running in the electric mode. I decided to turn the propane on, and sure enough the refrigerator worked fine.
Well I scrached my head a while and it finally dawned on me!!! The frig runs on gas or 120v AC, not DC. But the light in the frig and the control panel run on DC! So I checked and sure enough I hadn't closed the Main Breakers after hooking up to AC at home!
Threw the breakers and now it is running on AC just fine!
Just passing this along as it can be confusing to see the DC light in the refigerator come on and the DC powered control panel's lights work but not have the unit work on AC!
I know all of this now and I'm just wondering how long it will be before I get caught by this one again!
Merry Christmas,
Craig
