Front brake line blew on the Ford!

This was the first day the Boss took the super duty to work and really in fact drove for the first time across town. When she got home from work, she had me get in and said the brakes don't work. I said to her, come on now, you just have got more behind you than your Camry. No, she wants me to take it down the road with her. She scoots over, I take off down our drive street, and my foot goes through the floor! Smell nothing but brake fluid.

Limp back to the drive, crawl underneath while she pumps the brake, and out squirts a spray of fluid under driver side.

Checked opposite side and it's practically worn through too! Calling Ford garage tomorrow. Was supposed to be pulling across state tomorrow. Sure glad she's safe, and we weren't on the road pulling the Monty.

I hope you post what is found. Many of us Ford owners are gonna be curious about this problem, what it was and possibly what caused it.

It's not just Ford's Chevy did the same thing last Nov. on route 19 in west Virgina coming down a hill with my Montana.Got towed to a campground 12 miles away and had the line repaired. The mechanic informed me they use STEEL brake lines and they rust through.

Scary stuff even on a car ... downright petrifying when it happens to a TV with a RV in tow. Glad you all are OK.
