Lucky run

After reading lots of posts from here sounds like I got lucky. I managed to drive 1600 miles from Tampa Florida to Omaha nebraska on 5 year old High Run E rated tires over a 24 hour period without any issues. Once home I promptly replaced them with sailuns. I was so surprised I made it home safely as I was honestly expecting trouble but didn't have time to replace them

You are very lucky. Many have had one or more go and spent time by the side of the road, not to mention the damages involved.

You are lucky but I'm sure many people have done exactly as you did with out incident. Only the unlucky ones post their misadventures.

Congrats on making it! The 5 year old tires are 2 years past my replacement date. Good luck with future driving.

I only got into my second trip with less than 3,ooo miles on them when those jewels called marathons let loose. Two blowouts, Atlanta area and mass pike...but no damage other then whole sidewalls blown away. Dark memories...
