Where are the Montana's
Even though we're not buying, we went to the MARVAC Flint, Michigan show today expecting to maybe see the new 3900FB. Even though General RV had a large presence there and sells the Montana line, not a single Montana there. One Sprinter and a couple of Cougars. To top it off, we stopped to look at a Cedar Creek for a minute and were complimenting a few improvements they had made. I commented on their video. It stated they used no foam trim. I said ours doesn't either. The salesman tried to tell me my Montana has foam "wood like" trim. I basically told him he was nuts. The video also says the remote for awning and leveling is a Cedar Creek exclusive. Propaganda crap. If they have to lie to sell their product, what will after the sale be like?
Note:The Cedar Creek was from another dealer-not General.

When at the Montana plant, I thought I payed close attention, and saw no foam covered with vinyl that looked like wood. Of course, that was only 2 yrs ago. Again , I saw foam used for insulation, but none in the structure of any thing that appeared to be wood.

Had to re-nail the trim around the entertainment slide after an educational screw up. That trim is definately wood-if not actual hickory, something just as hard.

My 2008 Montana had what appeared to be wrapped particle board. The 2012 has real wood.

I should have tried to answer the question, forgive me.
It is now the practice of CW to have their own shows and not participate in public shows, I'm told. If that is true, then if CW might be the Montana dealer for that area. So far this year, all our shows have been CW only. We have had shows in places where there were no dealers . Several CWs participating, many brands and price ranges available.

We went to the CW show last week Larry. Two Montana's out of fifty units, but no 3900FB. We bought from that show last year. As far as the smaller shows go(75 units or less) we think CW puts on the best show. At the one in Mt.Pleasant on the campus of CMU they charged nothing for admission and had local organizations there to sell food and drink to raise funds for their respective groups. They had the usual booth for accessories and booths for campgrounds as well. Everything that the "big" shows have. For that, I thank them. I realize some go just for entertainment, but if the dealers goal is to sell units, getting more people inside seems the much better way to go. The more I learn and think about the whole CW experience, the more I like it. By the way, General RV is the local Montana dealer. We drove and hour and a half to buy from CW.(Though we did not intend to buy when we left home that day!)
