Quick disconnect for BBQ Grill

Quick question. I had my RV dealer install a propane quick disconnect setup for my 2017 3820FK, and when I went to use it for the first time, it did not light all of the burners on my Weber Q2000 RV BBQ, like those small green propane cans do? So what could be the problem?

Did the dealer install the quick disconnect after the propane regulator on the trailer? If so, then you will have to remove the regulator on the Weber BBQ or have the quick disconnect installed before the trailer regulator as you don't want the propane flowing through two regulators.

I have a quick connect on my Montana and it supplies a 90,000 btu camp chef stove. Mine operates after the camper regulator with no regulator on the stove. I think Mr. Pachu is on to something.

X4. there is a sticky thread on the keystonerv.org forum about how to convert your Weber Q grill for use with after regulator quick connects.

I did this mod on my Weber Q1000 as my Cougar had the quick connect propane from the factory. The new Monty doesn't but it may get one next summer. I missed it last weekend on our shakedown cruise.

Ya you can`t double regulate a propane device. Remove the regulators after the quick connect

My last RV before the Monty was a M/H which had a built in propane tank. I installed a "T" in the propane line after the regulator, & ran a line to the BBQ which had a second regulator. Couldn't get a good flame out of the BBQ, & after about 10-15min of use the regulator at the propane tank would freeze to the point where I couldn't stop the flow of propane.

Well I guess I will see if I can remove the regulator from my Q2000 BBQ, but then I will not be able to use the BBQ for other ventures, since it won't have a regulator? Also not sure how easy to remove it, since it looks like it is all one piece going right into the burner?

I have a small BBQ that I use the 1lb bottles on but it came with a adapter that has to be replaced if going to a full size bottle.
It is a small screw type thing that you replace. not sure of the name if it.

Why don't you make the dealer put the connector before the regulator where it belongs?

Charlie, I will ask them for sure. I just figured they would not do it, so we will see.
