Brake controller

It's time to buy a new brake controler for the tow vehicle, any suggestions?
Thanks, Mel

Yup. Prodigy is the way to go. I've used others but none compare. I think it is even better than the integrated trailer brake controller that is in my Chevy.

Thanks everyone, I just ordered this
Tekonsha 90195 P3 Electronic Brake Control on amazon. In 3 weeks the 5ver goes in the shop for new leaf springs, bearings, brakes and new reinforced leaf hangers.

That a great controller i have the same on as far as what number to use every 5er is different so just fallow the instructions for the adjustments and then you can fine tune it
to what you like.

So I installed the Prodigy P3 today took about 10 miniutes with the factory plug, WOW what a difference from my 15 year old Reese controller I had installed in 2002. I only pulled the 5ver 7 miles into town. No hills but so much nicer allready. I was getting finger cramps constantly adjusting the old one every time the conditions changed. Thanks everyone

That's true! But I've never been one for keeping up with the jone's. Besides I've considered it but I love my 7.3 the truck looks new, it has 180,000 miles on it and I'm having a hard time trading up. Other then all the bells and whistles on the new trucks, I like everything about my truck. I think I'm on my 5th 5ver since I bought the truck, and they get bigger and heavier everytime. So I'll be keeping my truck until we upgrade to our next Montana. Besides our german sheperd (Gracie) somehow got her name on the pink and she refuses to sell.

I too have a tough time when looking at the price of new diesel trucks. They now cost about double what I paid for my first house!!!! EEEK
