BLUE picture when using DVD's

HELP! setting up my TV (Toshiba) and DVD/CD (AVR6000) and I'm getting only BLUE colors and tints.
What do I look for and has anyone else had this happen.
I can play CD's, RADIO, DVD's etc.Okay. Just having the "BLUES".
Sorry for the pun.

How is your 6000 connected to the television?
Are you using component video?
If so, you may have a wire in the wrong RCA connector.
Look at the color code on the back of the DVD and tv. You should see Red Blue and Green. These are your component hook-ups. Make sure the color feed for the wires match on both sets.

Audio is red and white. The red is not to be confused with the component red.

You will most likely have a RGB output/input.

In line of succession for good quality it is:

HDMI
Component
S-Video
RGB
RF input.

If you have HDMI, it is by far the best way to go. Only one cable.

Also, just check to see if it is a loose connector. Push them in firmly.

I had this same problem. It's merely a setting for me. On the remote control for the DVD player, look for a button labeled v-select. When you press it, it will probably show you that the setting is on S-video. That's what looks blue for me. Press it again and again until it lands on a setting where the movie looks right to you. I have 2 settings where the movie looks the same, I don't know the difference, but neither one is blue. S-video is blue. Be sure to have the movie playing when you do this, it doesn't work as well on the menu screens.
