How well do you sleep in your Monty?

I don't know what it is, but I swear I sleep better in our fifth wheel than I do any place else! It's like sleeping in a cloud. When I go home from school on break, I make Steve sleep out there in the driveway cause it is so comfy. We have a great, plush, pillowtop mattress that I paid a fortune for in the house. The mattress in the camper is the one that came with it, only with a featherbed on top. I bet the neighbors think we are crazy when they see us coming out of the camper early in the morning to go in the house and make coffee!
Anybody else sleep better in the camper than at home?

Right now we are sleeping better in the monty than the stick house b/c we purchased the memory foam topper for the monty bed. We have to get one for the house and soon!

You should make coffee in the Montana too. We have never slept in ours at home but on the road we sleep very well after putting a miracle foam topper on the Montana's mattress. I have a Cuisinart coffee machine that grinds the beans and makes the coffee and I take it with us when we travel in the Montana because I love my morning coffee.

But I know what you mean, a nice RV like a Montana does make you feel warm and fuzzy all over.

Our machine is too big to cart back and forth to the house from the street, so I just run in make a couple shots and go back out.

Ditto Prairepoodle

Sleep like babies.

Course, my sofa is gone, so I can take a nap on my futon (those who have camped with us will laugh, we have a habit of leaving the futon in the sleep position for weeks on end! What a nap!!! )

We sleep much better in the Monty than at home but I don’t think its the bed as much as the atmosphere. At home we have a $2,000 mattress set with 1” of foam and feather bed. In the Monty we still have the factory mattress with 1” foam and feather bed also.

I do one thing that helps me unwind and relax when we leave home. I highly recommend it to all.
Step 1- Everything is packed, Sherry & the cats in the truck, engine running.
Step 2- Close up the house stick the key in the lock and close your eyes.
Step 3- With your eyes closed think about work and all the honey do's.
Step 4- Lock the door, open your eyes take 3 steps back point at the door and yell at the top of your lungs “STAY!”
Step 5- Run as fast as you can to the truck, put it in gear and don’t look back.

Neighbors think I’m a little crazy but what the heck, since I started this, I’ve not had a problem sleeping in the 5er.

We, too, have a feather bed on top of the standard RV bed. We sleep like babes in ours!

No problem sleeping in the Montana. We have the mattress it came with, an inexpensive foam topper, and sleep very well.

Dano, we were at the Twin Oaks in Perry in April for the mini rally and just loved the campground. The owners couldn't do enough for us, they furnished the Ham and a Turkey for our pot-luck. They ask several times a day if we needed anything, will go back there on our way to FL in Dec. and another mini rally the end of March early April 2007.

Oh what the heck, we too sleep soundly on our bed in the Montana. We also added the foam topper to the mattress and it works great. Of course, I like a hard bed as I set my side to 70 in our sleep number bed at home.

We are very comfortable sleeping in our Montana. Like many others we have the standard mattress and a foam topper. It could be the atmosphere and the carefree feeling of camping!

Sleep great! We added a select comfort mattress so we can both have the right firmness.
