Shower Door Recall

Got my shower door mod from Keystone in the mail (for Big Sky). Took about 5 min to fix. Just an FYI for everyone. Kerry

I'm sorry. Sometimes I take for granted that everybody that follows and reads on this forum, reads and follows every subject. Some people who have Big Sky 5W's have had their shower door glass break when they open the shower door. The problem was caused because the towel bar is mounted on the door against the glass. The modification changes the two bolts and adds clear soft plastic washers between the towel bar and the glass. hope this clears things up. Kerry

Thanks. We have the 360RLQ and I know there were some problems with the door but didn't know they had a fix.
I'll give my dealer a call and get the mod kit as well.

Hi all, I'm not completely satisfied that the plastic washers will solve the problem. I think part of the problem is the "torquing" of the door when someone leans on or pulls with the towel rack. It actually "twists" the glass. Try it gently and watch how the door glass moves. We took ours totally off and filled the holes with silicone caulk. It just wasn't worth the risk after reading that it breaks into jagged spears which cut badly. Be careful. Sue C
