Reese model 30085 fitment

I'm looking at a used Reese 18K sliding hitch model 30085. Hitch is in good condition with about 20k miles. This model is designed to fit the
Ford factory prep mounts, but at some point they changed the "feet" length by an extra 1/4" and changed model number to 30144. I'm getting a new 2018 F350 and I'm told I need the longer feet. Has anyone used the 30085 on a 2015 or newer Ford without issue or... Just trying to save another $125.00 for new feet set

Thanx - Dean

You won't like my response and others will hate me for it but I feel obligated to say don't buy the Reese. I had one (new) and absolutely hated it. I got rid of it and bought a B & W but there are others much better than Reese in my opinion.

Is your B&W a slider? Does it take up a lot of room in the bed? Looking at videos it looks like it needs almost of the bed and doesn't leave much room for anything else.

Looking for a new hitch and considering the B&W Patriot slider. What I read sounds good but have not heard from an owner. Anybody have one?

Mine is the B & W Patriot non-slider and no it doesn't take up too much of the bed. I no longer have a need for a slider with the redesign of the front caps a few years ago.
