Move day - plus 510

Well, based on the MOC recommendations I made the mistake of going to the dealer to pick up some bug screeners. And had to look at the new 3610 floor plan (3100 plus 510 = 3610). I liked it but the one that I was looking at was sold but they had an identical one at their other store. Had everything we wanted except dual pane windows. Of course the deal was only good until he end of the month/quarter. So I said OK but they would have to pull the wheels, grease the bearings, check the torques on the suspension, install a Xfactor and of course put the bug screens on, done, sold.

I have to say that Keystone has done a nice job of continuing to improve the Montana. Plus the 3610 has a 12" frame and 7K axles. The G614's were 4 Yeager old and left them on the old unit so I'll be in the market for tires soon.

So today I'll remove and install the inverter and AMG batteries and complete the move of the stuff on Monday. If all goes well Tuesday will be our real first day in the Montana.

Happy trails to all!

2 1/2 years ago I went to my dealer for a new lube plate....turned out to be a very expensive lube plate! I will never again walk the lot "just to see what's new" when going for parts.

Anytime I go to a dealership, I try to leave the wife at home.

Ahh Congrats, we have a new 3610 club starting here with ours due to be offline the middle of April. Scott and Fran, you may be the first on the forum to actually camp in this new model and we are eager to hear your comments!

Exciting times, Enjoy and keep us posted!!!

We love our 3610RL. We received ours March 7. This is our third Montana. There are many things that I love on this unit. Deeper storage under the bed, sofa on the back wall and many more good things. Now, after saying that, there are 3 things I do not like. The dining chairs will not fit up under the table, the base of the table is to large, you can not push the chairs up to the table when not in use, The bathroom door opens inside the bathroom, when you open the door and go inside there is not much room to be inside and close the door. Last, I do not like the individual hooks to hang your clothes in the closets. I prefer the old rods that you can push your clothes around. These are all just my opinions. I do love this unit.

Interesting review thus far, good to know! As far as the dislikes, of course one should be able to change up the closet rod fairly easy, a change that we will probably make if ours arrives that way. I have seen pictures of a unit that arrived at a dealer in the last two weeks I think and it clearly shows the bathroom door opening outward in to the hall. We sure hope our unit arrives that way as well, perhaps this is one of the recent running changes made to the unit.

Funny the chair not fitting under the table thing is a pretty common issue....same problem we have now but we do like the fold up dining chairs. Glad you love the new unit....we cannot wait to get ours....

The inverter is moved, yea!!! If I could blame someone it would be Dick and his completing "mud dauber" comments

I'm so tired right now I can't remember but think our bathroom door opens out into the hall, will confirm tomorrow but fairly sure it does.

I left Fran at home then went back to pick her up. Told her that next time I mention a new Montana to hold her hand up and say 2020 as in the year!

I am too going to figure out how to change out the closet rod, like a smooth one soooo much better

BTW I'm in Texas and everything is closed but they had 2 deliveries today and it was my salesperson. He indicated that there will be a new floor plan that is a model soon that looks like a 3610 but the rear cap will drop like a toy hauler to make a porch. Interesting

Thank-you for all the warm wishes

Interesting note on the possible porch off the rear but would have to see it as I cannot imagine a unit with a drop down back where you do not lose a lot of room. Keystone already has a line of toy haulers so I could not see the purpose. The Glendale Titanium had a hauler with a drop down side screen porch which was very cool but they are gone now. Their units were well designed and were more for a full timer.

Correction, the bathroom door does open inwards. Looking at the floor plan indicated an inward swinging door. But the one we looked at did have an outward swing, that I remember because it lightly touched the valance on the hall window. Don't know which is standard now.

The other thing I think is different is the small cabinet next to the oven, left side, in the unit we purchased is like a cookie sheet cabinet. In the other unit we believe it was the small pull out pantry with a cutting board on top and two shelves for canned goods.

In our 3100 the floor plan shows an outtie but the actual door was an innie, go figure

Fixed the problem with the table, unscrew the base and turned it 180 degrees. Now, to figure out how to change the rod in the closet. Think there is not a fix for the bathroom door

Scott & Fran. Our new unit has the cookie sheet cabinet. Next to that is two pull our shelves that we use for pots and pans. Love both of those features.
