Manually retracting slides

I don't have a need yet, but I've never been shown how to manually retract the slides if/when the motor fails. Can someone explain it to me?

THX.

If the motor fails, and the hydraulic system is intact, you can pull the end cover on the motor and operate the system with a drill with a straight slot screwdriver bit in it.

Here is a picture of the electric motor on my 06 Montana. This indicates that a 1/4" hex drive is used.

Checked mine, and it is just like the picture. Can't believe the dealer would tell me wrong (again). Thanks for the correction. I had just taken his word, and never checked it.

It would be nice if we could count on our dealers to give us the best advice. Unfortunately, many RV salespeople are not even RVers themselves and know very little about the product they sell. I have learned more on forums like this than I ever have from a dealer. Take care.
