Rusty Looking Spots

Just got back from a Memorial Day trip. During our trip it came to our attention that we are seeing some very small rusty looking spots on our ceilings through out our 2005 3400 RL. There are no leeks in the roof. Could it be some type of condensation or sweat spots soaking through the ceiling? Our unit is kept under hard cover storage when not in use. Ideas or thoughts?

We had the same thing and the rusty looking spots all followed the metal supports (rafters) in the ceiling. I was told that the stains are caused by the staples that hold up the ceiling. Purchased a stain blocker and painted over all the stains and then painted the whole ceiling with regular white ceiling paint. Looks just like new.

That certainly makes sense, other than the first such complaint I have seen?

That makes sense and sort of what we were thinking. You look at the spacings both lateral an longitudinally and the spacing fits with the supports; we think. I think we will try that fix and see how it goes.

Thanks for all the help.

I found that the roof air was partly blowing cold air in the roof area and causing mold problems, so i got silver metal tape and removed the shroud from the ceiling and closed all the gaps on the cold air side.
