AFAIK, the Elks camping facilities are not open to the public. We have stayed at a few, some are very nice, some are pretty basic. All are reasonable.

We've stayed at a few that would let us have a guest with us, but most require everyone to be a member. When we traveled the 101 in California we stayed at Elks the whole way.

Some Elk Lodges own their own RV Parks open to members only and less than close private parks.

Ozz, you can go on the Elks Web site and view by state the various Elk Lodges RV Facilities with a breif discription of what is available.Keep in mind all Lodges with RV sites are not on the site.As mentioned you have to be a member

Ozz there are about 2000 Elks club throughout the USA, a lot of them have some type of RV parking. Some as simple as a plug behind the club, some with just dry camping. Others are first rate RV parks. I have used them all across the US. The great thing about them is if you are a member, you will always have a friend when you stop. If you hit the right day you maybe invited to dinner, a party, or a dance. Some will allow non member, but those are few.
If you in CA, and near Merced and need a place to stay, we have a nice park, just tell them Theofanides sent you.

I read this and e-mailed the main office. I have not been able to join because we are seldom in the same area long enough to go through the initiation process. I was told here is no "member at large" or any other way to join except what is explained in web site. I belong to the Moose and use their facilities on a regular basis, but it would be nice to have the chance to stay at an Elks lodge now and then.

Ozz, please be aware that the ELKs is a benevolent org. If you want to meet good people, Help out in the community and work toward a common good, by all means join and go through the ceremony and do your part by participating as an officer. But joining it for the campsite is the wrong reason. Its not a Good Sams. It is a very serious org that mixes in some fun and good times with a lot of hard work for the communities that it supports.

We live near the Elks National Home. It's a very beautiful old home for old people. It's been several years since I have seen it but it's a campus with several masonry buildings. There will be thousands of cars with kids of all ages to see the Christmas lights starting this weekend.

I know what you mean Lynwood. I grew up in Bedford Va. where the National Elks Home (BPOE) is and my mother was a nurse there in my earlier years. It truly is a remarkable place and the organization provides invaluable community services nationwide. As a note of humor, in the town of Bedford when I was growing up everyone always said that BPOE stood for "Bedford's Poor Old Elks"; but of course, that is not the case! Lol

The Elks in ABQ worked with me to join. If you are going to be making a return trip in the area a Lodge may be able to help you out.
Best of luck. I recommend the membership.

If you attend an Escapade National Rally usually the Elks have a lodge that will sponsor full timers. At the Tucson Rally they made arrangements with the Wilcox Lodge and signed up members. Also the lodge in Gillette WY did it during a rally.

If you are traveling in the Merced, CA, area, I'm sure we can help you. We help numerous charitable groups in Merced donating between $35-40,000 a year to local charities.
You can join and help when you can.

The North Beach lodge in Ocean Shores, WA does a lot of charity drives. Also, if you are a member and going to Canada, there are a few lodges with facilities. Always try to call the ledges ahead of time to make sure the rv sites are still available. Here is the Canadian link: http://184.106.217.226/uploads/File/RV_Directory.pdf
Happy trails whichever road you take.
