Porch light won't come on

New ( one week old) 3160 porch light and light under entry steps no longer turn on.they did when we first got it. Checked the fuses, checked the bulb in the light under stairs which was okay, don't have ladder to check bulb in porch light. There is a switch in electrical panel , red light on switch says it should be on.
Any suggestions?

Is your porch light photocell controlled? Possibly won't come on until activated by someone walking by after dark if it is. Also, the step light used to be controlled by the DS scare light switch, have to have the scare light turned on to make the step light work.

You are right about the scare light, it did turn on the light under stairs, thank you. Porch light maybe a bulb, have to wat tilwe get home. Thanks for the help.

We didn't get a remote control.

At delivery the driver's side and door side scare lights were backwards. Dealer swapped the wires at the switches. All was good. Few weeks later door side lights dont turn on. Not likely the bulb in a new unit (could be). I'm going to chk the wires at the switch...odds are the came loose.

Have found out that the porch light burns out quickly. Best to keep a good supply of bulbs. I think ours is an 1147.

Guess we are lucky, bulb on our 2015 is still good after a year to include six months in Florida last winter.

My porch wasn't working in a month or so on my 2015. Dealer replaced a bulb when in for other warranty.

We replaced the fixture with one that has a motion detector and led bulb. Much better than the OEM.
