That's where I've always bought mine and have tried to my best to let others know about it over the past couple years.

Is the 4" wide roll the one to get?

And do people buy their advertised hand roller or use some other type of roller over the tape to make it seal properly?

Yes David, get the 4-inch roll. This will cover things a lot better. Also, when you use it, be sure to clean the area well with a rag and rubbing alcohol. But be sure you put the tape down where you want it because once it's stuck you can't move it! It really sticks.

A wallpaper seam roller works on the eternabond.

Newbie question. How often is this tape being used by everybody? Are you getting it as a precaution while on the road or are roof leaks a frequent thing?

I have never had a leak but my unit is only 18 months old and the one taped seam on the outside of my large slideout roof is just starting to lift slightly so as a bit of PM ( preventive maintenance) I thought I would cover this seam with eternabond.
Also when traveling, if I ever tear the roof with a low hanging branch, I could do a repair myself. I am glad this question was asked and I look forward to more reasons why this tape seems so popular.

I have it only as a precaution. Those pesky trees in some of the RV parks can "reach out and grab you" as you drive under them to park. Sometimes an abrasion will appear on the roof material so I originally purchased the tape to cover any abrasions. Then I put a strip across the screw heads on our living room slideout where the OEM tape had begun to curl and wear through. Haven't had any roof leaks in over six years of living in the rig.

Glad I dropped by the forum! I was just contemplating this the other day as we are having a little rolling of the tape on the bedroom slide. When I get beack from the North Georgia mountains, I will order some as well!

Thanks for the link!
