I'm just curious if you forgot to look up when you installed the outside receptacle to accept the 50 amp cord on the 2980RL. If you had of looked up you would have noticed you were placing it directly under the rain gutter.

Perhaps you thought it might be fun for some happy camper, forced to hook up in the pouring rain to face this challenge, but trust me, it is not fun nor possible to use an umbrella because this only diverts the rain from the gutter to the side of the unit and onto the receptacle as well.

You might want to rethink this!

I thought this was a "feature". In the fall the rain quickly turns to ice secureing the 50 amp plug into the receptacle of my 3670. Plug won't drop out by itself all winter.

It is the same way on my 3280RL too.
