Battery under slide damaged kitchen floor

We have a 3 week old Big Sky with a newly damaged kitchen floor. Evidently either the factory or dealership dropped a battery when installing them in the remotes. The battery matched the ones in the bedroom remote. When we arrived at the campground on the Blue Ridge Parkway and extended the slides, a smashed battery was found on the kitchen floor with a new foot long tear on the kitchen floor. So whoever put the batteries in the remote caused the problem. I am sure they never imagined the damage it would cause.

Sorry for your floor damage. Sounds like something that your dealer will have to take care of.

Hummm.Makes you re think that there may be better quality control on the big sky.. I would send that one to Mike Spencer at Big Sky.

I think even an "old world" Mercedes automaker might drop a battery every once in a while! Not sure I'd condem the whole company QA

I have kicked or rolled a lot of stuff under that kitchen slide while it was closed - a real bugger to retrieve but I know it will do damage if I don't get it out of there. Sorry to hear about your floor Kwolff7, but Keystone should get it fixed for you.

I had a screw with no head; 'Cull' under ours when we first got it, probably discarded by a workman, my dealer will repair the damage.

Thanks Ozz. I think your damage is worse than ours. Reminds me that we need to take pictures of damages. I was first concerned that they would never believe what happened, but guess it has happened more than once.
