Wilson Repeater (Smooth Talker)

I am researching a booster or repeater for cell phone signals. I have been looking at the Cell repeater by wilson, which works wirelessly in a vehicle, which would fit my needs exactly. Who has experience with this setup? Does it work as advertised and is it worth the money? Is there a better alternative?
We are just using the cellphone for most of our communications unless wifi is available, or we go to a hotspot. I just want to see our cellphone signal boosted on receive and send.
We are verizon network and have been for years.

I purchased the repeater system from 3G stores and they were very helpful with technical support. I have the system set up at our house.
One technical issue is the outside antenna and inside antenna need to be separated by 30 feet.

Stiles has installed one on his trailer with the outside antenna on the front and the inside antenna back in the rear living room. Maybe he will comment on it's performance.

You can call 3Gstores and see what their technical experts say.

Good luck.

I am more interested in just keeping it in the vehicle. But you did bring up a good point, in that by purchasing an additional antenna, that I could move the unit inside the rv when we are parked.
By the way, stopped into Parris Island a week ago, after 29 years. We stayed out a Hunting Island for two weeks and just loved it. Enjoyed MCRD, until my wife reminded me that most of the new marines undergoing recruit training were born about ten years after I graduated. I started realizing my young age.

We have used a Smooth Talker for 5 years now. It works fine HOWEVER the connectors are a odd sort and I had to order a adapter from them (Canada). The antenna broke and I went to a Wilson Trucker (needed the adapter). I would go with the Wilson if I had to buy a new one.
