Campgrounds in Yuma

Anyone have a favourite campground in Yuma AZ. that they like. It seems to be cool in Jan there but looks to warm up in Feb. I`d like to try AZ. for the winter in the Yuma area.

Mel and Joy would be good resources. They live in the area and would probably know some good places. They even have a lot that they rent out but I think it is occupied this time of year.

Mark and Donita
I wish we had a space open for you at our place but as Dennis said they are rented. We do not know that much about the local Parks as we have our own place but if there are some you would like us to check out just let us know, we would be happy to look them over for you.
If you do make it down here please let us know we would like to meet you.

We are at Cocopah Golf & RV Resort - this is our third year and we highly recommend this park -- not sure if they have any vacancies for the time period you are looking at but you could try. Phone 800 537 7901 Address is 6800 Strand Avenue. Also have heard about another park at the other end of town --- haven't seen it yet ourselves but it sounds nice - Southern Mesa RV Park, 18540 S. Avenue 3-B 928 726 2252

Sunny and Warm down here ----

oops -- forgot the phone number for Southern Mesa -- it is 928 726-2252

Also -- just re-read your message--- since you are looking for next year call early (March latest) you should be able to get into our Park. If you have a dog we have a wonderful pet area but that books up fast. Send us a PM if you have any questions or need any more info -- Julie

Ok -- don't know why but each time I type in phone number it does not appear in posted message. If you search the internet for their websites I am sure you will find them -- if not send us a PM and we will send them. Sorry for the confusion. Julie

We liked Del Pueblo RV Resort - we were there for 10 days after Quartzsite and will be returning for a week on 2/26, that is if we can get our Big Sky repaired.

Wow thx you guys for the info. We would love to meet alot of the folks on this site too, but Donita still has a few more years till She retires at 55. Les and Julie Cocopah was one of the places on our list as we are both avid golfers, not great but we enjoy a good round and a couple more at the 19th hole. David and Jo-anna Del Pueblo looks awesome but we`re not 55. I hope you get your rig fixed soon, good luck. Mel and Joy if we make it down just for a few weeks next year we`ll be sure to look you up. Thx again to all, as I tell the wife MOC people are good people.

Les and Julie, how long have you been at Cocopah? We were there from 1/27 through 1/30. I'd be really upset if you were there and we missed you.

Steve -- can't believe you were here & we did not get to see you!!!!!!! This is our third winter here. This year we arrived in early November -- we have an Annual Site. We will leave in April and head up to Tuscon for the Rally. So sorry we missed you. We always watch for Montanas coming and and always try to check and see if they are MOC members.

Shoot, Julie, I'm sorry we missed you, too. There were many Montanas in that park and we were there just a few nights. We didn't get around to see any of them. We were in site 721.

Mark and Donita, Cocopah is a nice park. I was thinking it also is 55+ but they don't say so on their website that I can find... so apparently they are not.

Looking at the site map, we went right by you when we went to the dumpsters. So close. There are a bunch of Montanas there and we only saw maybe 25% of the park. We wondered if we knew anyone there but didn't get a chance in our few days there to get out and find out. There are three or four in this park we're in now but so far have not seen anyone outside. We used to knock on doors but after a couple of negative experiences we quit doing that unless we think we know them.
