software problem??

dunno what started this but it seems to be a java problem. thought someone here might can help before I take it to the shop. I cant get "internet options" to open in IE tools, nor "options" in foxfire, so it doesnt seem to be browser related. Nor will java console open in either browser. any suggestions please? thanks

Did you try a systems restore if you are win xp? programs,accesories,systems tools, system restore

What version of firefox? Ver 2 has a problem with java.

Have you downloaded anything new? Have you updated and run a complete virus check?

If you can, try googling for input on the problem [Internet options will not open] etc.

Got to www.sun.com and download & install the latest version of Java, or www.microsoft.com if you prefer Microsofts buggy version.
