Microwave

2018 High Country 379RD
Microwave High Pointe model EM044K9E makes a crack noise and trips breaker. Outlet is still good and works and when microwave is plugged into a different outlet, the same thing happens.

Looking for similar problem and solution

Has anyone replaced this with another model or a different microwave

So far in I have replaced an AC unit, a bedroom slide motor, and a
water pump. We love our unit, but this is getting tiresome.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Since issue follows MW sounds like loose wire in MW and it needs to be replaced.

DW really likes the convection MW in the Montanas. (Which she thought she would never use) You might want to see how of a price difference it is to have them upgrade it vs straight replacement

We have replaced three M/Ws over the years, one last year. Really easy if it hangs over the oven, no cabinet mods. Many brands, search for what works for you, just be careful to get correct measurements, ie try to match sizing for existing and new unit. I installed a whirlpool from Lowes, was able to use the existing mounting hardware. Make sure whatever product you select has adjustable venting so you can match up with venting in your montana.

our vent for our microwave is not routed outside and neither is the vent over the stove

The vent on our unit was locked in the closed position. Had to get on a ladder and move two the locking tabs so the vent would actually vent!

They usually are to prevent them from blowing off when in travel.
