Looking for best ride

Currently travel in a 2017 F350 dually long bed using a MorRyde 1116 pin box on a BW Champion hitch with the Ford puck system. Found the ride not that smooth added airbags to the truck use at about 20psi adjusting as needed.

Still not quite as smooth a ride so looking to improve with an air ride pin box or hitch. Research is showing I can upgrade to the Trailair Air Ride Pin or Reese 5th Airborne Premium to replace the MorRyde or opt for the Air Safe 20K 5th wheel Valley Style Head hitch.

Cost aside, looking for input on what would provide the most optimal ride especially on the bumpy rough roads like 95 S thru SC or I10 thru LA. Any experience or thoughts on these? Trying to give our old bodies less shock when traveling.

Thank you for your time and input.

You have a 9000 pound truck with 3000 pounds in the bed pulling 15,000 pounds. This isn’t a formal for a smooth ride.
Either of these hitches will smooth out the ride about equity. They both do the same thing. I have the trail air and can watch it move 2 inches on a smooth interstate on a rough road much more. I’m more than happy with it.
I would say buy the one that is most convenient for you to buy.

I have a 2016 F350, 4x4, diesel, dually, crew cab, long bed, FX4 off-road package, camper package, snow plow package and high capacity trailer tow package.
Smooth ride package was not an available option.

I had the 5th Airborne on my last Monty, and loved the ride, was worth it. Now my new on came with an improved hitch but still now as good as the 5th airborne just can't break down and spend the money again.

A dually with airbags does not a smooth ride make. Perhaps a diesel pusher motorhome would give a smoother ride.

Last year we did a coast to coast trip, and by the time we got there, our backs were "toast" because of all the chucking and bucking.

Ordered a Reese 5th Airborn to be delivered to the RV park. Installed it and the ride was 100% better. No more back issues.

Just completed another coast to coast trip, I 80 from Calif. to PA, I 95 south to I 10 west to I 5 north home. We would come onto a bridge transition, and I still grit my teeth waiting for the chucking and it never happens....smooth. I can see the trailer bouncing and bobbing but never feel it in the TV.

I carry a Fini air compressor (very small) but goes to 140 psi, enough for 110 psi in hitch and 95 in trailer tires.

We have a F450 long bed towing a 2017 3721RL....all tows fine. However, having been down I-10 through LA and other rough roads, no matter how much you spend, it will get bumpy and rough at times. Just slow down and grit those teeth.

I have the trailair, triglide and love it. Had airbags on the 2012 dually, hope not to need them on the 2018 dually

Possibly would be interested in your moryde 1116 pinbox. What is the actual part number?

We had 5th Airborne on previous unit. Now we have a MorRyde. Both systems very good. (Did have to put air in the 5th Airborne from time to time)

I have the Mor-Ryde I.S. on the rv and the Hennsley trailer saver TS-3 airbag hitch in the truck plus firestone airbags on the truck and still can be rough on the bridge transitions. I don't have any chucking what so ever but when you have a 1 ton dually you can't expect miracles. It will never ride as good as my wife's Avalon yet I believe I ride about as good as possible considering the circumstances.

Unfortunately, 3 years later and still just as bad or worse!
I hate travelling through SC on I95, North or South bound. Our last TT had the A/C ducts separated on nearly every trip!

We have the same truck (Lariate). We run the rear dual tires at 65psi. We find it very smooth and quiet. When we were shopping for a TV we test drove a 2019 F250. We thought it was noisy and rough. The salesman suggested we try the dually. I did not want a dually but we test drove it. We were really surprised how quiet and smooth it was. The Lariate model had all the bells and whistles the 2019 F250 did not. We love it.
Now if you are talking about porposing on certain roads, I'm not sure what would cure that.

Air pinbox or air hitch will do wonders for your ride.
Best money we ever spent was the pinbox.
Had air bags on our last 2500, they helped the ride but not as much as the pinbox.
The GM's also ride better than the Ford or the Ram, hands down.
