We've been satisfied with Progressive ever since our agent (AON) switched us over to them. They cost less than our previous insurer.

I had Progressive but let it expire and changed companies. Yes, it costs a little more, but I know none of my money is going where I don't want it to go.

I don't like where they spend their money either. However, there are many who don't like where I spend my money. As Rich says, it is a free country and how and where money is spent is the responsibility of the one(s) doing it.

I totally agree, that's why they aren't getting any more of mine.

I just noticed why my premium went up. On the declaration page that I received yesterday my deductible went from $500 to $375,

My rig was 5yrs old when we had a large wreck. Totaled the trailer and bent the T V up pretty good. Showed Progressive my invoice from when I bought the trailer and they offered to either replace the trailer with a like trailer or write a check. Very good to deal with and things were quickly done, and my premiums did not increase. Still have stuff insured with them.

That's what really counts, how do they perform.

We too have Progressive. Have not had any claims (thankfully), they were half the price of Good Sam same if not better coverage.

This year our rates were decreased by $45.00.

Totally satisfied with Progressive here. No claims on the RV, but I hit a submerged object and damaged the lower unit on the motor on our boat. Progressive was very easy to work with. I'm sure I probably don't agree with how Bill Gates and Micheal Dell spend some of their money either. But guess what.....Windows 7 on a Dell computer.

Our expereience with Progresive may not be typical. However I cancelled Progressive and went with GMAC Insurance.

I never, ever, had any claims of any kind with Progressive over 11 years. However, three years ago Progressive tripled my premium at renewal time. When I contacted the agent to find out why I was informed that there was an accident on my record. I informed the agent, truthfully, that I did not have any accident, never had an accident, and never had any claim . The agent stated that he would investigate and get back to me.

After about a week, the agent called and said that he could find no record of any accicent involving me or any of my vehicles. However, he stated, Progressive has "an accident record on the computer" and the tripled premium stands.

I then cancelled my Progressive policy and found that GMAC offered me a policy with actually lower premium than I had been paying Progressive for years.

Our accident in July was finally settled. We received our deductible reimbursement from the other vehicles insurance company. Our company, progressive was very easy to work with and paid for all damages, including the damage found after the original estimate. Our only hang up was the deductible reimbursement. The rates have been going up about 10% every year but each claim I have had with them have been handled professionally and quickly.
